Hello, hello, dear Internet~Land! As some may have seen on my facebook page, we had a lovely time at the Resin Rose BJD Expo. Then it was back to work, only to catch a nasty respiratory virus ~ and what a virus it was! I spent a full seven days fighting a fever, along with a constant cough and fatigued, sore muscles. It was no fun at all to be at home, but not well enough to do anything I would really want to do. I’m finally feeling a little better, so decided to draw up a Basic Pattern Set for a new addition to our household. My daughter took her first step into the BJD/Dolly community by purchasing a Pear shape Smart Doll! She’s absolutely lovely! When we got home, we looked through my clothing bin and were happy to find several items that would fit this beautiful girl, but we also wanted to draft some items made especially for her. If you also have one of these wonderful dolls, or perhaps another with a similar shape, hopefully this pattern set will help as you create her wardrobe. The pattern will be linked & shown below the other photos.
Just a quick edited reminder: These Basic Pattern Sets are designed to help as you draft your own clothing patterns. They are not meant to be sewn “as is.” Added width and length is needed for shape and fit, as well as extra width to create needed overlap for desired closures. These pieces come directly from the doll as shown in the photos, and if sewn as they appear, would only produce a tight fitting bodysuit. You will need to add your own special tailoring to create actual, wearable garments. Enjoy & Happy Sewing!
