Sewing the School Robe for Smart Doll Pear

Greetings, dear Internet~Land. I hope this finds you well and happy. This post contains the last video in our School Uniform Series. The full pattern set is available in the 1/3 Smart Doll Pear size as well as a smaller version that has been reduced to 70% of the original size to be used on a 1/4 scale height. Several of the pieces can be used “as is” for the smaller scale, but the pleated skirt is designed for a fuller figured doll. The skirt (in both scales) can be easily reduced to a smaller waistline by removing some of the pleats to fit and then adjusting the length of the waistband. As always, I suggest trying the pattern on some extra, non-expensive, scrap fabric first in order to fine tune the fit to your particular doll.

Sewing the School Uniform Smock for Smart Doll Pear

Hello, hello, dear Internet~Land! I hope you’re having a lovely holiday season. In this post, we’ll take a look at how to sew the Smock piece in the School Uniform Collection for the Smart Doll Pear body shape. Since the smock is designed to be a loose fitting garment, it could be used for most 1/3 scale doll bodies. I had fun trying out the new gathered/smocking portion of this project. I hope you have fun in your own sewing adventure!

2025 Christmas Gift #2

Greetings, dear Internet~Land. Today we have the reduced MSD (1/4 scale) size pattern of the girl school uniform set. As I mention in the video, I have reduced the original Smart Doll Pear pattern to 70% of its original size. It still has the curvy shape as a base, so may need adjusting in the waistline for thinner modeled dolls. Enjoy this video tutorial for sewing the pleated skirt and happy holidays!

2025 Christmas Gift #1

Hello, hello, dear Internet~Land! The Christmas season is finally upon us! To start off our holiday collection, we have this new wizarding school uniform pattern set designed to fit the Smart Doll Pear body style. I’ve sewn up the first three pieces, and am really pleased with how they turned out. The set includes pieces to make a white, button-up shirt, a sweater, a tuck & pleat skirt, an herbology class over-smock, the traditional school robe, neck-tie, stockings, and a pair of ear muffs (for auditory protection). Enjoy!
