Greetings, Dear Internet~Land! Well, the cold weather has finally made its arrival here. Thankfully, it is on our days off, so for now we’re all settled in with blankets, the fireplace, hot cocoa, warm baked treats, movies, and a sewing machine! We have so many patterns here on the website not yet “sewn on YouTube,” so I thought I’d start going through the list and put some together. Today’s project is the Zig-Zag Jacket from the recently posted 2023 Twelve Gifts of Christmas. It was numbered 9 & 10 for both the SD and MSD sizes. Depending on the date of reading, you can scroll down, look through the dated archives, or use the Menu at the top to access the size of choice. Wishing you all a warm and wonderful weekend!
Happy New Year 2024!
I hope you’ve had a great New Year’s Day and are ready to move forward with excitement and inspiration! To begin our journey into the new year, we have a video sewing tutorial for the Waterfall Gown and Capelet Pattern Set. I was thinking that many of my patterns haven’t been sewn yet, so this is the start of my plans to film more videos for the patterns that are available here on the website. Enjoy and happy sewing!
Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #11 & #12
Happy, happy Christmas, dear Internet~Land! And if you do not celebrate Christmas, just keep the “happy, happy!” For any who wish it, I will be adding my statement of faith at the end of this post. I am very aware many do not share my beliefs, nor is it required for you to be welcome here. It’s just that this holiday celebrates that which is pivotable to my faith, and I would be ungrateful indeed not to share the source of my hope and strength this time of year.
Well, we have made it to December 24th! Today I will post both gifts #11 and #12, since many will be very busy with holiday celebrations tomorrow. This last and final design was my absolute favorite project/challenge of the year. I had so much fun making all the pieces and am so pleased with how everything turned out. So now… (drum roll, please)… introducing… the BTS Idol Hanbok BJD Pattern Collection in both SD (1/3) and MSD (1/4) sizes!!!!! These outfits are designed in such a way as to fit many different BJD body types. Some of the more closely fitted pieces would need slight alterations to fit bulkier dolls, but the Hanbok jackets and vest should be the most versatile. The smaller MSD size should work for a wide range of dolls, including the Tonner Matt body. I think the Tonner Peter Pevensie / Wilde Imagination Mortimer body falls right in the middle of the two pattern sizes, so you would need to choose the size change with which you are most comfortable: making the SD smaller, or making the MSD larger. I think my choice would be to use the SD patterns, and reduce them a bit, shortening length on the legs & sleeves as needed. Some of the shirts may already fit his torso and chest “as is.” Now for the patterns ~ these are HUGE files, so have LOTS of paper ready! Enjoy and here’s wishing you a very blessed Christmas holiday season!

If you’ve remained to the end, thank you for coming! I know many variations exist as to why and how people celebrate Christmas. For me, it is a time to remember and celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus as a plan was put into action to provide salvation to any who would choose to accept it. Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was tried, beaten, and crucified, died on a cross, was buried in a tomb for three days and nights, rose again on the third day of His own power, was witnessed of men, ascended back into Heaven where He now sits waiting to come again. All this, all He suffered, was done in love to provide a means of redemption to any who will accept it. I could provide all the Scripture references that tell the story and reasons why I believe this, but my purpose today is not to “prove my point.” It is my choice to believe, accept, and trust in what Jesus has done, and my thankfulness that leads me to share this good news with any who wish to hear it. I know many in this world have suffered so much in their lives ~ more than I will ever have to endure. But I have also had my share of heartaches and loss. It is my faith that provides the strength to continue. My wish is for any with whom I come in contact to know the peace and joy I have found. Life’s troubles will never disappear, but I find that my relationship with my Savior helps me navigate this journey and gives hope for a new life after this one is finished. All the best to you and yours this Christmas ~ much love! ~ missy
Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #10
Good evening, Internet~Land! Today was a very productive day. Up at 3:10am, I got Gift #9 posted this morning, finished up the last gift of the series (now just two more left), then headed over to pick up my mom’s to take her out for lunch and some shopping, finished up the last of my own shopping, and now am ready to post Gift #10. Tonight we have the smaller MSD (1/4 scale) BJD version of the Zig-Zag Coat Pattern. This size should also work for the Tonner Matt body style. Now to head off into sleepy time. Sweet dreams, my friends!

Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #9
Greetings, dear Internet~Land! Wow! December has moved by so quickly for me this year. I can’t believe it’s already the 22nd. I’ve been very busy during my breaks at work to finish up the remaining gifts for this year’s celebration. Today’s surprise is a BJD Coat (in SD, 1/3 scale size) with a zig-zag front cross over lapel. The design just popped in my head as a fun, festive way to dress up for the holidays. I already have lots of pants patterns on the website, so for today we just have the coat. I hope you have some time to relax and be creative during this busy time of year!

Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #8
Greetings and warm holiday wishes to you, dear Internet~Land. Tonight with Gift #8, I also have a new video tutorial for sewing the Armadillo Jeans. I hope you are having a fine festive season and are enjoying our gift collection thus far. Today’s gift is the MSD (1/4 scale) version of the Retro Color Block Dress Pattern Set. The pattern image and PDF link are posted below the video link. Enjoy!

Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #7
Hello, hello, Internet~Land. I hope you are having a great December and things are going well. I now have our seventh project ready to post. I’ve had this pattern design bouncing around in my head for quite a while. It originated as a paper doll outfit in the Ella Flex Articulated Paper Doll Set (which is available on my Paper Doll page). I always enjoy color blocking with fabrics. This SD (1/3 scale) BJD pattern set features all the color blocking pieces (color coded according to the image) as well as “facing” pieces that can either line the dress or serve as pieces on their own to make a simple sheath style dress. The set also includes the pieces to make some flared under-shorts and thigh-high stockings to compliment the look. Enjoy!

Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #6
Good evening, Internet~Land! I hope you are doing well. We’re busy working and getting ready for the holidays. Gift #5 is the MSD (1/4 scale) version of my Female BJD Hanbok Pattern Set. The SD (1/3 scale) version is already available here on the site and can be found by using the Menu above to access the Ready To Print – Female 1/3 Patterns Page. The pattern pieces feature pictures of the sewn set, and I will include a link to watch the tutorial for sewing these pieces together. I sewed this in SD size, but the MSD size is sewn the same way. Enjoy!

Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #5
Hello, hello, Internet~Land. Today’s post will have a new fashion set for the articulated Ella Flex Paper Doll Set. This outfit is my sketch version of the BJD Waterfall Gown Pattern Sets that were previously posted. I’ve updated the PDF File to include the doll, all previous fashions, and this new set. Enjoy!

Twelve Gifts of Christmas 2023 #4
Greetings, Internet~Land! The next item is the MSD (1/4 scale) version of the Waterfall Gown & Cape Pattern Set. This pattern should work for most BJDs and some fashion dolls in the 43cm – 45cm size range. The pattern has been resized to 70% of the original SD measurement. Wishing you a wonderful rest of your weekend & continued happy sewing!
