Hello, hello, Internet~Land! Now that we have the new pattern drawn and posted, let’s sew it! Beware! This is a very LONG “Sew & Chat” style video, and I tend to ramble on … and on … and on …

Some Casual Wear for Your SD BJD Fellas
Hello, Dear Internet~Land! Today’s post introduces a new pattern set for your slim third-scale BJD fellas. This pattern was drafted for my 66cm MiroDoll guys, which are of a slimmer build. You may have to do a little enlarging to fit the more muscular body types. This set is for a pair of Bib-Overalls and a Button-Up Short Sleeved Shirt. The shirt can be made with a flat one-piece back or a pleated two-piece back, depending on your preference. The overalls can be made in either a full length pant or simply cut them off for shorts. The pieces for a multi-section front bib pocket, back patch pockets, double layer leg pockets, and hammer loops are all included. Have fun and happy sewing!

Some Adjustments to Mori Style Set #2
Hello, hello, dear Internet~Land! After sewing the cute little capris from this pattern set, I decided to make some changes to the pants pieces. Join me in the video to see how you can easily make the same change if you like the more narrow hem as well. If you haven’t yet downloaded this FREE pattern, I’ll add the link to this post as well. Happy Sewing!
Ball Gown Pattern for HuaRong SD BJD
Hello, my dear friends in Internet~Land. My hand was finally in a good place to return to work. I started with three weeks of half days, and then moved back to full time. My supervisors were awesome about starting back with work that was easier on my hands before going right back into upholstery sewing. Once things looked like they were back to normal, and I was getting back into the swing of full time sewing, our family got hit with covid. I couldn’t believe it ~ after two and a half years of avoiding it! I’m sure it’s because all the social distancing and mask requirements have been so relaxed in our area. I guess life just moves from one thing to another, doesn’t it? I know this virus hits different people differently, but, boy, was this a gross one! I’ve been down for a week and a half, and truly was not feeling like working on anything creative. I’m finally ok to sit up for longer amounts of time now, and my eyes aren’t sore to the touch anymore, so thought I’d try to get this pattern ready for you.
I did end up adding the embroidered trim to the top of the bodice and then embellished it with some sweet little ribbon blossoms with pearl centers. I also fixed the back of the bodice pieces to include enough overlap for a snap closure. I tried to clearly mark the bodice pieces and place them on the page so it’s easy to see how they fit together. I’ll also include a link below to my video for sewing the bodice pieces together. Enjoy!

Ideas and Details for a BJD Ball Gown
Greetings, my friends in Internet~Land! I finished up my latest project along with a video overview on the tips and tricks I used to get the look I want. I hope these hints can help as you design your own gorgeous creations!
The BJD Shalwar Pants Pattern Set
Hello, hello, Internet~Land. After my last video, I did a little more tweaking to the Shalwar Pants Pattern, as well as added a tank-top, a 3/4 length sleeve top, and a short vest. I wanted this to be a simple set to put together, and have made a video showing the quick and easy way to sew the tops. The pieces in this set are shown below the video link with a link to open the PDF file. Enjoy!

Time for Another Sew & Chat
Greetings, Internet~Land! I thought it would be fun to visit a bit as I try my hand at a new pattern design. Come along as I make both progress and mistakes ~ it’s all part of the process!
A Much Requested Pattern
Hello, Dear Internet~Land! Over time, I’ve had several requests on how I made the SD size chenille sweater. I had seen a couple cute sweaters for people sizes, so decided to try making my own in dolly size. Here is a copy of the pattern I made. I hope it helps give a little direction on how to start. Once you’re used to it, you can alter and tweak to your liking. I will give a quick hint about working with chenille. It is very fluffy, and so can be difficult to see stitches clearly. It can also easily fall apart so there is only bare string remaining if you overwork it. If you’re new to crochet, maybe practice first with a more sturdy (yet light weight) yarn. The FREE PDF is linked below along with pics of the pattern page and a close-up of my finished sweater on my 60cm Angell Studio Hua Rong. Enjoy!

Let’s Try Sewing Some Pants
Hello, Dear Internet~Land! As I prepare my hand to get back into the work zone, I thought we could put together one of my recent patterns. This video will show how to sew the pieces as they are presented in the pattern set (linked in a previous post as well as on the MSD Pattern Page found in the above MENU). I will also show how you might want to alter them slightly to use a continuous one piece waistband as well as how to fit the pants to your particular doll. Hope the video is fun and helpful!
BJD Clothing Review & Intro to Crew
Hello, hello! As I’m working on getting my hand back into shape, I decided to go over a few doll clothing items that I have picked up here and there, rather than sewing myself. We can take a look at what kinds of details I look for when judging quality and deciding if something is a good deal to me. I also realized that I’ve never really introduced my BJD collection in it’s entirety. So, if these sound like some fun chat topics, grab yourself a snack and a comfy spot, and we’ll get started!
