2022 Twelve Gifts of Christmas #9

Greetings, Internet~Land! Christmas is getting closer, and we’re now at Gift #9. This one is the smaller version of the Footie Pajama and Costume Pattern Set. It will fit the Wilde Imagination Evangeline and the Resinsoul Xun as is, but can also be easily adjusted for smaller MSD sizes by reducing the leg & arm length as needed for your particular doll. Enjoy and happy sewing!

2022 Twelve Gifts of Christmas #8

Okie-dokie, Internet~Land, Gift #8 is going back to the sewing patterns. I wanted to draw up a basic front button jumper that could be in a soft denim along with a cute puff-sleeve blouse that could feature a sweet, tiny print. Adding lace and ribbon trim to the top could add to the interesting contrast between the pieces. Whatever your vision, this can be a great “basic piece” set to add to your pattern repertoire. This one is offered in third scale (SD) size. It was drafted from my HuaRong Basic Set, so should work for most SD size BJDs, save those who have a very large bustline.

2022 Twelve Gifts of Christmas #5

Happy holiday greetings with Gift Number Five. This pattern set if for the slimmer MiroDoll 66 male. Since I have the three BJD Gravity sculpts (Honey, Chocolate, and Cookie) for this body, I have too much fun designing for them! This coat has an unusual name. Instead of calling it “color block,” I called it “textile block.” The blocking is designed to mix two different types of fabric to make the coat, so that the line between the two textiles will move across the front in a diagonal direction. It’s inspired by the coat worn by BTS Jimin at the 2022 Grammys. I liked the idea of having a leather type fabric for the top sections and a velvet or denim for the lower sections. The pattern also features a turtle-neck shirt and skinny legged pants. Enjoy, and I’ll be back again soon!

2022 Twelve Gifts of Christmas #4

Greetings, dear Internet~Land! I hope the beginning of December is treating you well. Our fourth project is here and ready to go for your 1/4 scale, MSD fellas. Since my patterns usually jump all over the place with no rhyme or reason, I though this year I’d try to give more of the same fashion opportunities to both SD and MSD sizes. You can let me know how you like it. That being said, here is the Half-Kilt Pattern Set for your smaller guys. Enjoy, and I’ll be back again soon!

2022 Twelve Gifts of Christmas #3

So far, I’m pleased to be on schedule! Of course, we’re only three gifts into the month, but still… … Anyway, this pattern set is an outfit worn by one of the BTS members while on stage. I’m always intrigued by their fashions, because so many of the styles present in a really interesting way. This half-wrap-kilt that matched the jacket just looked really cool to me, so I’ve had this idea on the back burner for quite a while. I’m very happy to finally have this out of my head and onto paper, and I’m currently deciding what fabric I’ll use for the coat and kilt. Enjoy, and I’ll be back soon!

2022 Twelve Gifts of Christmas #2

Greetings, Internet~Land! Here’s our second project ~ it’s the larger sized version of the Fashion Hoodie Pattern Set. This was designed to be oversized, so it can work for a variety of third scale BJDs. I used the HuaRong Basic Set as my base. If you want it to be slimmer, you can take the sides of the front & back in a bit as desired for your doll. If in doubt, I always recommend sewing a mock-up with some scrap fabric first, then make adjustments as needed. Happy sewing!

2022 – Twelve Gifts of Christmas #1!!!

Hello, hello, dear Internet~Land! It’s THAT time of year again! With all that’s happened over the last couple years, I’m ready to send this one out in style. Beginning our annual festivities is a new Fashion Hoodie Pattern Set for the Resinsoul Xun (MSD 1/4 scale) BJD. When this doll arrived, I was very surprised to find that her measurements are VERY similar to the Tonner/Wilde Imagination Evangeline body. This discovery made me very happy, as it adds so much more use to the sizing of these patterns. You can probably use this for a variety of MSD sized dolls with minimal adjustments, since longer leggings and oversized tops are often a good vibe anyway. Let the holiday celebrating commence!
