Hello, hello, Internet~Land! Today’s gift is in response to a request. The new Annora resin BJD by Phyn & Aero is so lovely, but still does not have many fashion choices. I decided to make one of my El Paper Doll gowns into a real pattern for Annora. This couture look was designed from the Basic Pattern Set drafted directly from that doll. When finished, it is a four piece outfit consisting of: 1. Top Dress of sheer fabric with a lined bodice and skirted flounce, and lace embellishments, 2. Decorative Skirt to hang directly underneath the top, 3. Full length Under Skirt, and 4. Tulled Pettycoat. The Basic Set used for drafting can be viewed on my “Free Stuff” page, and that pattern is also available on the “Ready To Print” page as a PDF download. Just click & print!
Happy December 12th, Internet~Land! Today was a very productive day at both work and home. At my job, I was working on standardized work instructions and some documents for a training program we’re drafting. During my breaks, I finished up another surprise for the blog! Today’s gift is none other than Doctor Who’s Suit Coat! So far on my YouTube channel, missysimaginings (what else, right?), we’ve sewn the Doctor’s shirt, pants, vest, shoes, and wig. Now it’s time to finish up his look with the last item for his three-piece-suit. Enjoy, and Happy Christmas!

Hello, hello, Internet~Land! Tonight’s surprise is something for the youngsters! Here we have a Color-Cut-and-Glue Craft. It’s all the pieces to create a cute little girl & boy all dressed and ready to play in the snow. I always recommended my students color before they cut. That way, going outside lines won’t wrinkle the pieces. Once cut, the pieces can be glued or taped together, but I always liked to assemble them with brads, so the arms and legs can move and be posed. Have fun hanging them on the frig or a window! I’m posting his picture beside the pattern set, so you will have an idea of what kind of doll he is. I really liked his face. I’ve been debating whether or not I will turn him into Naruto. Still undecided. In the mean time, here are some basic pieces for you to come up with your own very cool designs! Yes, it’s that time of year again, and today we’re starting off the fun with a new Basic Pattern Set! This set is for the 50cm Obitsu vinyl/plastic doll. She is wonderfully poseable, and holds a stance on her metal plate stand with magnets in her feet. With all the pattern sets that have been done for the resin BJDs, I though she was a bit neglected. I do not have a Smart Doll or Dolfie Dream, so I’m not sure about comparing them for sizing. I think they are a bit larger than this gal of mine, so maybe you could simply print out this pattern and then enlarge it a bit to get the pieces to fit. The Obitsu also has a unique figure ~ with a very small bust & waist, and then larger hips and thighs. Be sure to test the pieces on a scrap fabric to see where alterations might be needed for your particular doll. Happy Saturday, to you all in Internet~Land! This has been a very tiresome, but very happy week. Tiresome because I work long hours away from home, but happy because I’m determined to enjoy life. I was so tickled to see my YouTube channel reach 100 Subscribers this week. I totally realize that not all Subscribers will always stay, but I am celebrating this moment! I enjoyed having some “high-fives” with my friends and family, as well as preparing a new variation to a favorite pattern for you. I love taking time to stop and fully embrace this stepping stone in a marvelous journey. Sometimes life is just hard. Sad things happen. Difficult things happen. Scary things happen. So, I make sure to take notice and be thankful for all the good things that happen ~ the joyful things ~ because they’re always there if I’ll look for them.
To include you in my celebration, I have adjusted the Lacey Light Gown pattern to also fit Wilde Imagination Evangeline, Ellowyne, and MSD sized BJDS. I believe it can also work for the 50cm Obitsu girl. It’s probably not an exact fit, since it is a straighter styled gown, but that allows it to be easily adjusted for a wide variety of dolls. I hope you will enjoy using it. The pattern will be available as a free PDF download through the month of November 2018, and it’s posted for you on my Ready To Print page. Thanks again!
